Hanoi Department of Information and Communications said that in 2019, 5G network will be tested.
On January 17, the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications held a “Mission deployment conference and launched the emulation movement in 2019”.
According to the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi, 2019 will deploy solutions to develop passive telecommunications technical infrastructure according to the trend of new and modern technology, in which focus on developing telecommunications network generation. new like 4G, 5G.
The development of 4G and 5G in Hanoi will create the basis for the construction of infrastructure of smart cities.

5G network stands for 5th Generation, 5th generation of mobile networks. Instead of ground base stations being used by 2G, 3G and 4G networks, maybe 5G will use HAPS (High Altitude Stratospheric Platform Stations) stations. Basically, HAPS stations are airplanes suspended in a fixed position 17km-22km above the ground and acting as a satellite. This will help the signal line be more straightforward and reduce the situation that is obstructed by tall buildings. According to calculations, 5G networks will be about 40 times faster than 4G. For example, if a 4G network downloads a 3D movie in 6 minutes, a 5G network will only take 6 seconds. |
